State Leadership and Skills Conference

April 27-29, 2025 Tulsa, Oklahoma

The journey to SkillsUSA Championships begin at the local level with regional and district competitions, followed by State and then off to Nationals in Atlanta, GA! Oklahoma SLSC provides students with the opportunity to show off their talents and test their skills. SLSC supports students as they continue to become America’s next great workforce.

Conference Registration

The Tulsa Convention Center officially became known as the Arvest Convention Center, effective March 1st, 2025We are excited to be working with the Arvest Convention Center to bring you this years SkillsUSA Oklahoma State Leadership and Skills Conference.

Registration for SLSC 2025 is now open. It is important that all attendees officially register for the conference to help ensure a positive and safe experience for everyone. Chapters may use the SkillsUSA registration system to register members attending conference.

  • Due to costs incurred in the planning process there will be no refunds for cancellations made after March 7th, 2025.
  • There is no on site registration day of contest and substitutions day of will not be allowed.

All contest substitutions, both individual and team members, must be completed by March 28, 2025.   No adjustments to contest registration will be allowed after March 28th.  Complete and submit substitution form below for any adjustments.   Technology Center/School will be contact when substitution processing is completed.

Conference Hotels

Hotels opened Friday, April 14, 2024. Chapters are responsible for the booking and payment of their individual attendees for the conference. Please contact individual hotels for issues or concerns about your booking.

We ask and encourage chapters to release unneeded room spaces when possible to provide opportunity for others in the organization.

Competitive Events

RESUME SUBMISSIONS

SkillsUSA Oklahoma is excited to announce the new addition of digital resume submissions for this years contests. The change to digital submission will help facilitate a better contest experience.

All contestants will submit a digital resume prior to contest day. Contestants will receive an email to the address used to register for the contest with instructions and link to access the SkillsUSA Competitor Portal page. The email will contain contestant’s username and contestant number, which are required to login to the Competitor Portal.  

Deadline to submit resume is April 22, 2025.  

Contest Testing

Testing occurs in cooperation with local technology centers. It is the responsibility of the contestant/advisor to work with their local testing centers to complete testing during testing windows. Testing is based on contest entered, however all competitors will take the PDP test as part of their contest experience.

Prepare for testing

Tests will be facilitated through testing centers using SkillsUSA’s NOCTI online test platform. NOCTI offers a demo test to familiarize students with the platform before testing. Visit https://testing.nocti.org/ and click on the “Try the Testing System” button. No login credentials are required. The demo test consists of nine questions and allows contestants to explore navigation and built-in accessibility tools.

National Anthem Singers Contest

Do you have a musical gift to share with the SkillsUSA community? If so, apply to perform the national anthem this year at SLSC. 2 students will be picked to perform at the openings of the awards ceremonies, Monday night and Tuesday morning. Students must be SkillsUSA members to participate.

Applicants must supply an audio recording of them performing the National Anthem. Due date for submission is March 21st, 2025.

Marsha Daves Lifetime Achievement Award

The Marsha Daves Lifetime Achievement Award was established to recognize individuals who have dedicated their lives to SkillsUSA Oklahoma, embodying the same passion, commitment, and unwavering service as Marsha Daves. Marsha’s legacy is one of mentorship, leadership, and an unyielding belief in the power of career and technical education to change lives.

This award stands as a tribute to Marsha Daves and her unwavering belief in the power of SkillsUSA to change lives. It ensures that her legacy lives on through those who continue to make a difference in the lives of students, educators, and industry leaders. The winner will be honored on stage at the 2025 State Leadership and Skills Conference, April 26-29, 2025 at the Cox Convention Center, Tulsa, OK.

Lauren’s Legacy Leadership Award

On December 11, 2018, SkillsUSA Oklahoma’s State President, Lauren DeLaRosa-Hull, tragically lost her life in an automobile accident. At just 17 years old, Lauren had already made a profound impact through her dedication to serving others in her community and within SkillsUSA. Her genuine care for those around her and everyone she met has touched thousands nationwide.

Recognized as a true “Servant Leader,” Lauren built a lasting legacy of selflessness and service that continues to inspire. Her unwavering kindness, compassion, and commitment to leadership have motivated countless individuals to care more deeply for others and prioritize the needs of those around them. To honor her legacy, her 2018-2019 SkillsUSA Oklahoma State Team created this award to recognize outstanding SkillsUSA student members who embody Lauren’s spirit of service, leadership, and compassion.
