Is this your first year as a SkillsUSA Advisor? Have you been an advisor for years but still have questions on how SkillsUSA works? Advisor Bootcamp could be the answer you are looking for.
Advisor Bootcamp is a one day conference for SkillsUSA Advisors to gain knowledge and understanding of how SkillsUSA can be incorporated into your classroom and how SkillsUSA can help support students as they grow in their leadership and industry skills.
We will cover items such as:
- Local, state and national SkillsUSA involvement
- SkillsUSA framework and history
- Yearly activities and conference events
- How to use SkillsUSA websites
- Materials, resources and activities to use for engagement
Advisors support the SkillsUSA mission through their engagement with students both inside and outside the classroom. Activities and curriculum support all areas of the SkillsUSA Framework: Personal Skills, Workplace Skills and Technical Skills Grounded in Academics.
